WOFCO was born from the experience and know-how of its five partners, covering the entire production chain, from capture to commercialization in more than thirty countries across the five continents. Alberto Barreiro and Borja Tenorio from their headquarters in Vigo; Alfredo Méndez, a Spanish businessman based in Vietnam, Giansandro Perotti, Ecuadorian shipowner; and Kunming Yang, owner of plants and shipowner, founded Worldwide Fishing Company in 2016, becoming a recognized company in the sector in a few months.
